UFC will open its 2027 schedule with a Fight Night card on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2027, at American Airlines Center in Dallas, marking the promotion's seventh trip to the arena and its first event after the traditional holiday break.
No fighters have been announced for UFC Dallas yet. The show will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States, and it lands two weeks ahead of UFC 336 in Toronto, which already has a championship doubleheader set with Joshua Van defending against Manel Kape and Carlos Prates facing Michael Morales.
Why Dallas Keeps Getting UFC Cards
American Airlines Center has hosted every one of UFC's Dallas events, and the building has a track record of delivering memorable title fights. UFC's last stop there came at UFC 277 in July 2022, when Amanda Nunes reclaimed the women's bantamweight title from Julianna Pena by unanimous decision, with Brandon Moreno stopping Kai Kara-France on the same card to win the interim flyweight belt. Dallas has also hosted Johny Hendricks' vacant welterweight title win over Robbie Lawler at UFC 171, Rafael dos Anjos' lightweight title statement over Anthony Pettis at UFC 185, and Stipe Miocic's heavyweight title defense against Junior dos Santos at UFC 211. That history is likely why the promotion keeps coming back to open big stretches of its calendar there.
What's Next for UFC Dallas
The lack of an announced main event means it is too early to handicap this card in any meaningful way, but UFC has shown a pattern of using its first show of the year to set an early tone for a new title picture or to give a hometown-adjacent draw a showcase slot. Texas remains one of the promotion's most reliable markets, and a January date at American Airlines Center with over two months of lead time suggests UFC wants real matchmaking runway to build a card worth putting on Paramount+ as a season opener. Fans can register for early ticket access through UFC's official Dallas page now, well before any bout is confirmed.
Betting markets have nothing to price yet since no fights are official, but expect lines to open quickly once a main event is announced given how far out the date is and the arena's recent track record of hosting live title fights.
