Brendan Allen earned a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his main event submission win over Christian Leroy Duncan at UFC Vegas 122, headlining a card that produced four post-fight bonus winners but no Fight of the Night award.
The event took place Saturday, October 10, at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Allen and Duncan battled through five hard rounds before Allen pulled out a fifth-round submission, a rear-naked choke, to shock Duncan and snap off the finish late in the fight.
Who Else Won Bonuses At UFC Vegas 122
Featherweight Andre Fili stopped Kai Kamaka III by knockout and walked away with one of the night's $100,000 bonuses. Heavyweight Allen Frye Jr., fighting as an underdog, stunned RJ Harris with a first-round knockout to pick up another bonus check. Alice Pereira, just 20 years old, scored her second straight UFC win with a bloody TKO stoppage of Darya Zheleznyakova to round out the group of finishers the promotion rewarded.
No Fight of the Night bonus was handed out, with the UFC instead opting to spread the $100,000 awards across four finishes rather than crown a single standout bout.
Betting Angle
Allen's come-from-behind submission after five rounds is the kind of result that punishes anyone who bailed on a live middleweight parlay early, a reminder that UFC main events can flip in the final frame even when a fight looks headed to the scorecards. Frye Jr.'s first-round knockout as an underdog is the bigger market story of the night. Underdog finishes like that are exactly why oddsmakers keep heavyweight lines wide open regardless of records, one clean shot changes everything. Expect both Allen and Fili to see their stock rise with bookmakers the next time they're booked, given how emphatically each closed the show.
Fili's win also keeps his momentum rolling in a crowded featherweight division where a highlight finish tends to move a fighter up the matchmaking pecking order fast.
